School Self-Evaluation

A school self- evaluation of teaching and learning in Scoil Mhuire Naofa has been ongoing in the school since November 2012, since the introduction of the National Strategy for Literacy and Numeracy.  The staff identified literacy as the focus of the evaluation for the school year 2013-2014.

Information was collected from the following sources as part of the School Self Evaluation process:

  1. Parent questionnaire circulated to all parents in respect of each of their children in the school year 2013-2014
  2. Pupil questionnaire – In order to gain the pupils’ perspective, the Principal administered questionnaires to all pupils in Fourth & Sixth Class in the school year 2013-2014.
  3. SCOT analysis completed by all members of teaching staff in November 2012
  4. Standardized Testing
